Family Advisory Council
The Family Advisory Council (FAC) is a group of parents and family members whose children are using or have used services in the Women's & Children's Program at Lakeridge Health. The mandate of the Council, which acts as a liaison between the hospital and the community, is to enhance, support and promote high-quality, family-centred healthcare for women, children and families.
Have you recently had a baby at Lakeridge Health? Tell us what you think. If your child was recently a patient in our Paediatric unit, we'd also love to hear from you.
Excellence in Family-Centred Care Award
Has a staff member at Lakeridge Health demonstrated an outstanding commitment to family-centred care? Nominate them for an Excellence in Family-Centred Care Award.
Our recent winner is Carolyn, a nurse on our Paediatric unit. Carolyn helped take great care of little Akyias and his family. Akyias was sad he never got to say goodbye to his favourite nurse, so he came back for a special Valentine's Day award presentation to Carolyn. You can check out the video of their story.
